There will be quiet, after the storm

Ugghhh. I'm pooped. Paz and I stayed up until 2:30 last night wrapping "Santa" presents while watching "A Christmas Story".

Eva woke us up at 8:45 this morning and we drug ourselves into the living room while the girls opened presents. Eva was so excited and Stella was having a hard time soaking everything in. We went to my Dad's at 10:30 for brunch where we stayed until 12:30 or so. We then stopped by our house to drop off presents the girls got (we need more trunk space - yes they are spoiled) then drove out to my mom's home in Pewee Valley so we could put the girls down for a nap. They didn't sleep much. Over at my mom's they have been doing a little remodeling and the house is looking fantastic. They added on a new sunroom off the kitchen, and are building a huge multi-level deck. I am looking forward to spring so we can all hang out on the new deck! We did Christmas stuff at mom's, ate dinner and then went back to my Dad's to have dessert with him and my step-grandmother, aunt and cousins. We stayed there until 8:30, then came back to my mom's house to spend the night. My brother (L.A.) and sister (Chicago) were staying there as well so we had a little family slumber party of sorts. It is now 10:40 or so and Eva just went to bed. No tantrums this year, but she was constantly talking about how she wanted to go home to play with her new toys and it got really annoying. Eva herself wasn't annoying, but the constant "Eva, yes - you can play with your cabbage patch kid tomorrow" and "Yes Eva, I will play your new hi-ho cherry-o game with you tomorrow". You can't blame her though - she is so wired. I need to get some rest!

Damn...just reading of your day tires me out. Dude...you have kids now...the parental units are supposed to come to YOU! Or didn't you get that memo? :-)

We played Trivial Pursuit: The 90s Edition yesterday and you know what? It's harder than you think.

The kids did well in the "Movies & Videos" category (because of all the Simpsons questions), I did fairly well on the "Headlines" and "Ooops" categories but none of us could claim any expertise in the "Technology" category and the "Hobbies and Sports" just sucked.

There is nothing like a home renovation project to improve the way you live your life. There are so many great local resources now for Kitchen Design Ideas . It is easier than ever to pick up the phone or go online and find Kitchen Design Ideas.

Another great site with a lot of updating information is http://www.floridakitchendesigns.com. Thanks by the way for such a great blog!
