New Years 2004 wrap up

Paz and I ended up going to our friends house, ate horderves, they drank margaritas and we played a mean game of monopoly. I of course beat all of there asses because I was the only sober one and I collected a ton of cash for being the first player to land on "free parking". Most importantly I got to spend a wonderful evening with the woman I love and together we started a new year together. After we watched the ball drop we listened to the gunshots (Germantown) and when they settled we went home. We were in bed and asleep by 1:15 - parenthood will do this to you.

I love the celebratory Germantown gunshots. Ah, transitional neighborhoods!

Aha, I see from this post that you are also a player of Monopoly. We must play sometime, it is my BEST boardgame. I must insist on playing the way I did throughout my childhood: tournament rules. That means no money in "free parking" and if you land on an unowned property, you must buy it or it goes up for auction. Makes the game go very quickly that way.

1:15???

I was asleep at 9:30 that night. Guess I'm a lightweight. We were in Louisville for the weekend. I miss it there.
